  • The SRG for all staff was completed by July 14th, and a new review format will be created and implemented next year.
  • A new contract has been extended to Pastor David, Pastor Esmond, and Pastor Steven. The church is eagerly awaiting their positive replies. (Pastor David and Pastor Steven have signed a new one-year contract with the church commencing September 2, 2023)
  • Pastor Don and Pastor David will meet to review Pastor Don’s three-month ministry as part-time English ministry pastor.
  • Before being posted online and on the church bulletin board, the deacon board will review and approve the minutes of the six Family Chats. Anonymity will be maintained for comments made during the AGM, as per the previous resolution, and this will also apply to the minutes of the Family Chat.
  • A Special online congregational meeting will be called online at 230 pm on July 30 to vote on the following two suggestions –
  • To support the mission of Richmond Pacific Grace MB Church through its building project for an amount of $20,000 in 2023;
  • An additional $40,000 to be allocated to the General Affairs department budget to enhance the church’s electrical capacity and safety, enabling faster installation of electric equipment, including air conditioning.
  • Several outreach meetings have been arranged for the rest of the year, with the intention to reach out to our neighbours, non-believing visitors, and newcomers to the city.

7)     has presided in other duties eg. Committee chairmanship, Sunday School teachers or others evangelistic works of the Gospel and is recognized as a faithful and responsible worker (I Cor. 4:2, I Tim. 3:10).

  • From June 25 onwards, the English, Mandarin, JAM worships and Cantonese Sunday School will start at 10 am. If there’s a PG Family breakfast, the meetings will begin at 10:15 am.
  • Various renovation ideas have been proposed by the Renovation Committee and will be prioritized based on urgency.
  • The mid-year family chat is scheduled for July 2, with three in-person sessions; the first one in Cantonese at 10 am to 11:15 am, and the second and third in Mandarin and English from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. It will additionally take place virtually on July 7 from 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm in Cantonese on Zoom and English on Meet and on July 8 also from 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm in Cantonese only on Zoom.
  • The church Community Day has been rescheduled for August 19. It is possible that it could be a collaborative event with CCM.
  • In response to the urgent request for funds to cover the building cost of Richmond Pacific Grace MB Church, it was offered an initial donation of $20,000. This will aid in reducing the current deficit, subject to approval in a special general meeting yet to be arranged. The church’s needs will be presented first in the family chat.
  • APS will purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the procedures for its use will be established.
  • The DB has accepted Rev. Isaac Man’s request to become a volunteer coordinator for the ministry assisting Hong Kong newcomers. He will begin in July and meet with parishioners who are involved in this outreach ministry. Along with them, he could also recruit, gather, and train additional volunteers to assist. Based on the assessment of the ministry’s performance during July and August and his schedule for the last four months of 2023, he may either accept the position of director for the HK Newcomers ministry in September or continue as a volunteer. The position must be officially taken up by no later than January 2024.

The committee will focus on the details pertaining to the appointment of a part-time pastor for the Mandarin congregation, with a minimum average of 22 hours per week.

  • The Sunday Morning Breakfast Project draws in over 100 people, leading to a rise in the numbers of people attending Cantonese Sunday school and English Worship Services. Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who prepare and serve the breakfast.
  • We invite brothers and sisters to donate to the Food Banks during the breakfast at our church to assist people in need.
  • To bring the message of Jesus to those who have not yet accepted Him as their Saviour, a part-time, contracted pastoral position will be created in response to the surge of Hong Kong residents. This position will strategize, coordinate, and lead outreach programs.
  • A Community Day will be planned for July 29, Saturday, as a joint function with CCM. A committee will be formed to coordinate this event.
