  1. New Sermon Series Based on the Book of Acts – Called to Be Church
  • Every church has its creation story. The question is, do you know the creation story of PGMBC? It goes back much further than you might think. Every church that follows the teachings of Jesus goes back to when the Church had its beginning back in the first century a short time after the resurrection of Jesus. Throughout 2024 Pastors Bill and Don will be teaching through a sermon series based on the book of Acts on what it means to be Called to Be Church. What did Jesus have in mind when he said he would build his church? Are we living up to his calling on us to be his church? As we go through this sermon series, we will also look for ways that it ties into our theme for 2024: Revive, Regroup and Rebuild. That is, to be revived spiritually in our faith and our commitment to be followers of Jesus; to regroup as a community of faith around our mission and vision as a church; and to rebuild by reaching out beyond the walls of our church to those with whom we come in contact in our everyday lives, as well as to those who live in our community, and beyond that to a world that is in great need of knowing and experiencing the good news of God’s love for them. We hope you plan to join us in this journey. Come prepared to be encouraged as well as challenged in your own journey of faith as well as your part in being an attender of Pacific Grace Mennonite Brethren Church.
